As a child, I never imagined how important my sister would end up being to me. We grew up in a very unhappy and unstable family. We were not shown love or how to give and receive love. We were not shown how to value ourselves as God values us. We were treated poorly and I am proud to say that we are better people despite and quite possibly because of our upbringing.
My sis and I were not close as kids or even teens. Regretfully, our friendship started after she moved out of state. My little sis has turned into the person I turn to for a shoulder to cry on, a sounding board, a cheer leader, a counseling session (free of charge :) the best kind), and so many other things in my life.
I know that our parents did not try to raise two women who dearly love their families and each other as much as we do, but I hope that we can do as good a job with our children. I also hope that we can succeed in raising our children without having to go through the pain that we had to go through to get these results.
My sister is an amazingly lovable, kind and generous person. She is friendly, patient, sweet and so beautiful (inside AND out)! She inspires me daily to be more, be better and enjoy it all at the same time! She is everything I hope to be and more! I love her for the way she loves my family, her family and how she loves me! God has impacted so many people through her ability to love unconditionally. I thank God today and every day for the gift he gave to me in my little sis!
Waiting on your next post.....been 2 months. Surely you have something to blog about.
