Slug Bug - You're It

So this is the slug bug cake I made for my sweet little girl's double digit day...
She looks so stinkin cute with her huge wig and momma's dress on! I just love it! She and her friends had a blast running and dancing and playing! And nothing was broken! So cool!
Annalyse has such a great group of friends and is such a sweet girl! It makes me so sad that she is growing up so fast! I just want her to stay little forever!!! : (
I hope you enjoy the pic of my newest cake!

R2D2...U R 2 Cute!

Well, I did it! I made another R2D2 and he is WAY cute! I just love it! This time it was for a little boy instead of my daughter so it was really cute to see his reaction. He had to touch it to see if it was really cake...lol! Boys are so different than girls! (yes, sis I know that you know this)

Now I am making a Spongebob cake and that is really odd for me since I don't have any children who liked the show. If things work out like I plan, then it should be pretty cute too! : )

Well, back to my glass of wine and the cake pans!

Love you girls! (yes, I am aware that Tori and Andrea are the only ones who read this...)

My Cake Decorating Business

Facebook is something that I was incredibly against for a LOOONG time, but my sister finally convinced me that I NEED to do it! If nothing else, then do it to sell my cakes! She is convinced that I have this talent that could be a way to make money...

Well, I decide to do it and I have already gotten an order! Thank you facebook, little sis and Jesica! Jesica is a member at the gym I own and was a friend as a child at church! It is so sweet of her to let me make a cake for one of her BEAUTIFUL children! So, I wanted to share some of the cakes I have made recently...

This was for my daughter's 9th birthday! She found a pic of this dog on Ace of Cakes and it looked like one of her stuffed animals sooo....

This is Trent's graduation cake. He is a huge Sooner fan and regretfully (for me) chose that OTHER school! So, I made him a bedlam cake! He is loving school there (still don't wanna say the name) and has wonderful grades! Joined a frat and is living the dream! I am so proud of him! He is a wonderful young man who is so kind, loving, funny and smart! Love him!!!

This cake was made for Emily (Trent's occasionally girlfriend). She too is an OU fan, but chose to go to the other school. So, the cake is orange and black on the outside. The inside of the cake is red velvet cake with white buttercream icing to represent her true love! : )

So, enjoy the pics and let me know what you think...

What A Day

So today I awoke in a panic because I had overslept and I was afraid the neighbor's dogs might have had an accident waiting on me. Oh Happy Day (love that song-YES I realize this shows my age)... their bladders are larger than I figured for the cutest little wiener dogs!
So, on the walk back I saw a car in the driveway. (Here is the problem...I ran down the street without putting on a bra and totally NOT expecting to run into anyone!) Well, Mark (my sweet hubby) was standing there looking totally confused because his ex-wife was standing there in the house and he did not even know that I had left the house! Oops! (Please don't be mad...I was really worried about those little bladders!)
So, the day was planned...
We got ready and loaded the truck and went 30 minutes to some property that the ex's family owns where we then spent about 5 hours decorating a barn for my sweet little step-daughter to have her Sweet 16 Party! We hung lights, wired for stereo and set up tables and floor lights. It should be such a fun night!
I just hope that the sight of my saggy boobs will convince the ex the call before she drops in again! lol
